Dive deeper into the world of fine flavor craft chocolate with another chocolate-infused evening, focused on some of the best African chocolate bean available. Hosted at the Bohemian Poésie cafe in the 11th arrondissement, reserved just for us.
In this intimate evening session, Lisa will recap the process of how fine flavor cacao is grown and processed into incredible craft chocolate, and share several incredible bars with you from her travels and personal collection. Follow the stories and tasting curve of eight incredible artisanal bars made from beans of the same region of Tanzania and harvested by the famous Kokoa Kamili cooperative, but transformed into incredible chocolate by a variety of top chocolate artisans around the world. This unique tasting will allow you to fully appreciate the craft of the chocolate maker, and just how much each artisan’s choices of roast, processing methods and times, recipe, and final transformation can affect the unique resulting chocolate. Part Masterclass, part tasting, this evening workshop is perfect for newbies and experienced tasters alike. Many of the bars you taste will be exclusively available through Tarts & Truffles, and each will bring you a surprising flavor explosion like you’ve never experienced before!
At the end of the tasting, you will also get to choose one beverage from Poésie’s menu (coffee, tea, matcha, infusions, etc) to test pairing with your favorite chocolates or simply to enjoy.
