Tours
If you’d like help organizing other activities in Paris, such as family-friendly activities and tours, in-depth museum tours led by a PhD in Art History, tailor-made walking tours of a specific Parisian neighborhood, cuisine, or off-the beaten path topic, or even a private day-trip to the Champagne or Bordeaux regions, I’d be happy to put you in touch with the perfect provider!
Please send me an email and I will connect the dots.
Resources
Looking for special cooking supplies or ingredients?
These are a few of my favorite addresses in Paris:
MORA, for specialized cooking and baking equipment, and cake decorating supplies.
13 rue Montmartre, 75001 Paris, France. Tel : +33 01 45 08 19 24 . Closed Sundays.
G.DETOU, for all the food…sweet and savory in separate doors. Great address for bulk purchases of baking staples, chocolate, and other hard to find supplies.
58, rue Tiquetonne, 75002 Paris, France. Tel : +33 01 42 36 54 67 . Closed Sundays.
L’Instant Cacao is one of my favorite addresses for authentic, small batch bean to bar chocolate making happening right in the center of Paris! Drop by the shop to meet my buddy Marc and his top shopkeeper (his Mom =), or order goodies directly online.
3 rue des Petits champs - 75001 Paris. Tel : + 33 09.81.36.22.78.
Recipes
Shhh, it’s a secret!! Every baker has their ‘trade secrets’ that can’t be shared, but I have found some of these bloggers very helpful as I’ve trod my path. Don’t worry, when my Baker’s Pocket cookbook is ready to hit the presses, you’ll be the first to know!
In the meantime, you’ll find a lot of great recipes on some of these websites:
Smitten Kitchen for cakes, cookies and loaves.
Lila Loa for decorated sugar cookies and a bunch of tips for decorating them.
