Have you ever wondered how chocolate is made, where it comes from, or what differentiates one bar from the next? How do you choose 'good' or 'better' chocolate to enjoy? Can chocolate be ethical and sustainable? This fantastic crash course will initiate you and your group into the world of fine chocolate, in much the same way one would enjoy an introduction to wine tasting.
Lisa will guide you through understanding how cacao is grown, and all the steps and phases the chocolate plant goes through to become one of your favorite foods! Your journey will include tasting real cacao beans and nibs, understanding and recognizing some key aromas and flavor profiles, and tasting an exclusive selection of top quality craft chocolates from France and around the world. Tasting sheets and/or booklets will be provided, and you will have the opportunity to choose one bar to take home.
This workshop can be held in several possible locations, to suit your group’s location and convenience.
